Would you like to join an international defence company to support their clients by improving the capability, reliability and availability of their most critical assets? Due to continued investment, this global business is currently looking for a Senior CS&A Engineer to join their existing team at one of their offices in Manchester or Bristol or Preston or Cumbria, hybrid working, on an initial 12 month contract with extension possible.

The Role

As a Senior CS&A Engineer, your responsibilities will include but not limited to:

  • Delivering structural / civils design to support Nuclear projects, inspections and construction site support on projects within the UK and, potentially, overseas. Work encompasses the full lifecycle of a project.
  • Concept and Feasibility studies for multi discipline design projects.
  • Preparation of Calculations, CDM activities, Basis of Design, Material Specifications, Scopes of Work, Technical reports, Inter discipline design coordination and supervision.
  • Analysis and Design using engineering software such as Staad.

In addition, you will also be responsible for the management of project delivery including developing resourcing profiles.

You

To succeed within the role of a Senior CS&A Engineer, you'll have experience in a similar position and have the following skills:

  • Degree Qualified (BEng or MEng), Civil / Structural Engineer
  • Experience in the design of structures in reinforced concrete and steelwork
  • Experience within the nuclear industry and design for seismic loading
  • Awareness and experience of using the latest design codes and standards.

In addition, you should also have Understanding of the relevant legal and regulatory standards.

Please note that due to security nature of this role, offers of employment will be dependent on obtaining SC security clearance. The vetting process is delivered by United Kingdom Security Vetting (UKSV) and will require candidates to provide proof of residency in the UK of 5 years or longer.
