Cyber Security Assurance Specialist Scotstoun Based Hybrid 2 days in the office per week initially £83.20 an hour Umbrella OR £73.31 PAYE Inside IR35 6 Month Contract initially. This role can be based out of Scotstoun 1-2 days per week on site. A brief summary of the role:- - Cyber Security gap analysis - Cyber assessment / auditing - Working with system owners, business owners and being able to articulate cyber security requirements - orking on a volume of different systems â€" understanding different IT and OT technologies to be able to effectively audit different components - Experience with defence, government, MOD or somewhere highly regulated like finance, medical etc. - Experience with standards such as NIST, ISO27001, Cyber Essentials - Deliver cyber assurance services for the Naval Ships business, covering Enterprise Applications and Operational Technologies - Risk Assessment of gaps - Deliver documentation to demonstrate compliance to internal and external stakeholders - Assessment and provision of control effectiveness in managing Cyber security risk - Work with security architecture / technical input into the development of secure solutions - Support development of strategy and continual service improvement for the Cyber Assurance function - Act as a subject matter expert regarding Cyber Assurance activities for the wider organisation Knowledge: - Industry knowledge of industry cyber security standards and/or knowledge of government cyber security standards - Cyber Assurance / Assessment / Auditing experience of IT Systems - Knowledge of IT application, infrastructure and security technologies Skills: - Proactively engage with System owners to assess their systems - Ability to interpret system compliance with IT Security Standard - Risk management experience - Ability to work autonomously and manage workload and priorities based on demand from multiple projects Qualifications: - CISSP/CISM/CRISC - ISO27001 Lead Auditor - Cyber Essentials scheme (Ideally would be looking for a lead assessor) - Any other equivalent For more information please contact Lauren Morley at JAM Recruitment or click apply.

Finance Manager

A start up business in one of the fastest growing areas of technology with significant financial backing is looking for a Finance Manager to join their team. This will be the first hire within the finance team so will be a very hands on and exciting role - please note that the business is also in the process of hiring a CFO with a view to that person starting in Q2 2025. The role is available on a hybrid basis (3 days per week initially at their offices in Marble Arch would be ideal but there may be some flex on this for an ideal candidate - the role will never be fully remote though). The role will focus on managing the company's financial operations and financial reporting, whilst maintaining financial discipline across the organisation. The Role As their Finance Manager you'll oversee the daily financial operations of the business, ensuring smooth and efficient financial management across multiple legal entities in Europe. In addition, you'll be responsible for the setting up and running of financial processes, reporting, and compliance, ensuring adherence to IFRS / UK GAAP (TBC but likely to be IFRS). Finance within the business is currently outsourced so you'll also act as the outsourced partner's internal liaison for the activities they continue to undertake in the short to medium term. You… To succeed in the role of Finance Manager you'll need to be fully qualified (any of ACA, ACCA and CIMA will be considered) and have experience of a similar and varied finance role. Ideally you'll have experience of IFRS and UK GAAP along with experience working across multiple countries and legal entities. Soft skills wise you'll need to be collaborative, have a strong attention to detail and the ability to thrive in a regularly changing start up environment. Salary and Benefits In return for your skills, you'll receive a salary, ideally, in the £60,000s although they can be flexible as finding the right person is the most important. Benefits wise there's a bonus of up to 12.5%, 27 days' holiday (plus bank holidays), private medical insurance and the company will double your pension contributions up to a 5% contribution from yourself. I'm looking for a Senior Cyber Security Engineer to join a leading Defence organisation based at it's site in Warton, Carnforth. What you'll be doing: Day-to-day implementation and support to the Air Cyber service catalogue Ensure operation of each service in line with agreed process, policy and SLAs Development, delivery and ongoing operation of Cyber Services KPIs fed by analysis of service metrics, incidents and other related data sources Creation and collation of inputs into Air Cyber reporting Driving adoption of and adherence to policies and standards Delivery of cyber security consultancy into the Air Sector, covering all elements of the service catalogue Essential Skills: An understanding of emerging cyber requirements and cyber security threats A broad and comprehensive technical knowledge of IT infrastructure and technologies (with IoT knowledge being an additional benefit) Experience of working in an IT function and relevant field Experience in the management and delivery of key cyber security projects Experience of collaborating for success with key business stakeholders Experience managing and reporting project deliverables to senior management audiences Desirable Skills: Professional IT Security qualification such as Certified Information Security Manager (CISM) / Certified Information System Security Professional (CISSP) This is a hybrid-working role of 2-3 days per week required on-site and you MUST be eligible for security clearance (SC). The salary is £55,000 to £60,000 plus an excellent benefits package.
