A leading Defence organisation is seeking an E,C & I Design Engineer to join them on a permanent basis based out of Leicester. As an EC&I Design Engineer, your role within the Design Consultancy function is paramount. Engage in the development and modification of C&I designs, equipment, and facilities, with a specific focus on life extension activities. Navigate the design lifecycle meticulously, ensuring compliance with stringent Design & Safety processes and technical governance. Key Duties: - Conduct thorough analysis to capture and understand project requirements comprehensively. - Drive the development of designs, encompassing the creation of detailed drawings and documents. - Draft precise specifications that serve as the foundation for project execution. - Produce documentation, essential for the commissioning phase, ensuring seamless project integration. - Provide oversight, addressing technical queries and managing any deviations from the design to maintain project integrity. - Play a pivotal role in the implementation phase by offering valuable technical guidance throughout the manufacturing, installation, and commissioning processes. Key Experience and Qualifications: - Previous experience in developing control and instrumentation systems - Familiarity with diverse electrical instruments and their applications - Awareness of regulations, legislation, and standards relevant to Electrical Engineering - (BS7671) - Proficiency in generating electrical engineering drawings and technical documentation - Proven background in following the design lifecycle The salary on offer is up to £60,000, coupled with 28 days holiday, contributary pension scheme, life assurance plus more additional opt in benefits. An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Integrated Product Owner to join their Product Development Team in Glasgow. You will work as a leader in their safety critical product development team, delivering a complete product design through a stringent design process. You will be the Product Owner for a development team using agile Scrum methods to develop high integrity FPGA based applications adopting the latest state-of-the-art toolsets. Training will be provided where required to equip you with the skills necessary to develop requirements, architectures, designs, HDL code, associated tests and supporting infrastructure for applications essential for the protection and monitoring of a nuclear propulsion plant. A start up business in one of the fastest growing areas of technology with significant financial backing is looking for a Finance Manager to join their team. This will be the first hire within the finance team so will be a very hands on and exciting role - please note that the business is also in the process of hiring a CFO with a view to that person starting in Q2 2025. The role is available on a hybrid basis (3 days per week initially at their offices in Marble Arch would be ideal but there may be some flex on this for an ideal candidate - the role will never be fully remote though). The role will focus on managing the company's financial operations and financial reporting, whilst maintaining financial discipline across the organisation. The Role As their Finance Manager you'll oversee the daily financial operations of the business, ensuring smooth and efficient financial management across multiple legal entities in Europe. In addition, you'll be responsible for the setting up and running of financial processes, reporting, and compliance, ensuring adherence to IFRS / UK GAAP (TBC but likely to be IFRS). Finance within the business is currently outsourced so you'll also act as the outsourced partner's internal liaison for the activities they continue to undertake in the short to medium term. You… To succeed in the role of Finance Manager you'll need to be fully qualified (any of ACA, ACCA and CIMA will be considered) and have experience of a similar and varied finance role. Ideally you'll have experience of IFRS and UK GAAP along with experience working across multiple countries and legal entities. Soft skills wise you'll need to be collaborative, have a strong attention to detail and the ability to thrive in a regularly changing start up environment. Salary and Benefits In return for your skills, you'll receive a salary, ideally, in the £60,000s although they can be flexible as finding the right person is the most important.
