We have an exciting opportunity for a Cable / Harness Technician to join our award winning manufacturing team based from Ampthill, Bedfordshire.

My client is looking for a competent technician, capable of cable and harness manufacturing working from drawings and engineering instruction. The ideal candidate will be competent in the safe use of all hand tools and with the use of Jigs, fixtures and measuring tools. You will work with support from the engineering group with a methodical and precise approach to ensure successful completion of production tasks on high value hardware.

This role is offered on a 4 day working week and 12 month fixed term contract basis !

You:

  • Will have Cable and Harness manufacturing experience, to specifications using Work instructions and Engineering drawings.
  • Understanding of ESD controls
  • Experience in the use of crimp tools and ability to hand solder to high accuracy.
  • Competent with using IT/Software packages.
  • Cleanliness and housekeeping (5S) methodology
  • Certified IPC J-STD 001 OR experience working with IPC J-STD 001 standards (highly desirable)
