BAE Systems are currently looking for multiple Systems Integration Engineers to join them at their site in Prestwick, South Ayrshire.
What you will be doing:
As a Systems Integration Engineer you will use your sound engineering knowledge and experience to propose and develop solutions to problems throughout our product development cycle. You will play a key role in bringing components and systems together to form a System of Systems. You will manage aspects of engineering, delivering them to exacting standards through ensuring good engineering governance. You will understand and manage the maturity of our engineering solutions as they develop, and you take corrective action to ensure our products are the best they can be. You can specialise in areas such as System Architecting, System Design, Configuration Control, Requirements Management or Qualification. You will lead the integration of engineering across all aspects of Air platforms & products, covering all stages in the engineering life-cycle - from concept to delivery.
Essential Skills:
- Degree educated in a STEM discipline or HND/HNC with sound experience of the Engineering Life-cycle
- Evidence based experience in an engineering integration environment (Applicants encouraged from Aerospace, Automotive, Rail and Nuclear Industries)
- Experience of Model Based Engineering approaches and the supporting methods and toolsets (Teamcenter PLM, DOORs, CAMEO, MATLAB, ANSYS)
- Evidence based experience of management responsibilities, managing teams and senior stakeholders
Desirable Skills:
- Accreditation to the International Council of Systems Engineering (INCOSE) or equivalent body/institute, is desirable but not essential.
The Systems Integration Team lead and manage complex engineering projects through all stages in their life-cycle, from concept to delivery. They lead the integration of systems to deliver high quality engineering solutions that meet customer's needs. A role in Systems Integration will offer the opportunity to work across many of the business functions and engineering disciplines that are necessary to design and develop the Systems of System platforms. Career progression and development is encouraged within the team and the wider business too.
The salary range is £50,000 to £60,000 plus an excellent benefits package and is a hybrid-working role.
