My client is a leading manufacturer of custom-made steel door solutions in the Newcastle-under-Lyme area. They are looking for a Maintenance Engineer to join them ASAP on a permanent basis.
The successful candidate will be responsible for preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining machinery and equipment to agreed Plans and Timeframes. You will collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams including Procurement and Planning, Finance and Production Operations, to minimise machine down-time and drive continuous improvement.
You will be responsible for:
- Maintaining and ensuring the smooth operation of mechanical systems, plant, and equipment on site, with a primary focus on the Paint System and Punch and Press Machines Operation of DriveWorks
- Carrying out routine mechanical maintenance work and respond to mechanical faults or breakdowns promptly, especially for the Paint System and Punch and Press Machines Implementing changes in 3D models to aid production
- Developing and implementing a comprehensive preventative mechanical maintenance program for both production equipment and general facilities mechanical systems Communicating with the sales department, external suppliers and customers
- Maintaining and promoting a safe mechanical working environment, following all safety rules and regulations.
- Continuous Monitoring and Improvement
You will have:
- Mechanical engineering background
- Appropriate Degree-level Qualification
- Good written and verbal communication
- Knowledge and use of handheld power tools
- Reading and understanding technical 2D drawings
- Attention to detail
