A start up business in one of the fastest growing areas of technology with significant financial backing is looking for a Finance Manager to join their team. This will be the first hire within the finance team so will be a very hands on and exciting role - please note that the business is also in the process of hiring a CFO with a view to that person starting in Q2 2025. The role is available on a hybrid basis (3 days per week initially at their offices in Marble Arch would be ideal but there may be some flex on this for an ideal candidate - the role will never be fully remote though). The role will focus on managing the company's financial operations and financial reporting, whilst maintaining financial discipline across the organisation.

The Role

As their Finance Manager you'll oversee the daily financial operations of the business, ensuring smooth and efficient financial management across multiple legal entities in Europe. In addition, you'll be responsible for the setting up and running of financial processes, reporting, and compliance, ensuring adherence to IFRS / UK GAAP (TBC but likely to be IFRS). Finance within the business is currently outsourced so you'll also act as the outsourced partner's internal liaison for the activities they continue to undertake in the short to medium term.

You…

To succeed in the role of Finance Manager you'll need to be fully qualified (any of ACA, ACCA and CIMA will be considered) and have experience of a similar and varied finance role. Ideally you'll have experience of IFRS and UK GAAP along with experience working across multiple countries and legal entities. Soft skills wise you'll need to be collaborative, have a strong attention to detail and the ability to thrive in a regularly changing start up environment.

Salary and Benefits

In return for your skills, you'll receive a salary, ideally, in the £60,000s although they can be flexible as finding the right person is the most important. Benefits wise there's a bonus of up to 12.5%, 27 days' holiday (plus bank holidays), private medical insurance and the company will double your pension contributions up to a 5% contribution from yourself.

How to apply…

This is an excellent opportunity to join a business at the early stage where you can have significant influence so if you're interested in being considered please email me your CV via the "Apply Now" button
