The Role
As a Cost Engineer, you'll be responsible for the development, control, and monitoring of project budgets, ensuring robust cost management and financial forecasting throughout the project lifecycle. Key responsibilities include:
Preparing detailed cost estimates and forecasts
Managing project budgets and tracking expenditure
Producing regular cost reports for stakeholders and clients
Supporting risk analysis and contingency planning
Ensuring compliance with cost control procedures and standards
Working closely with planning and commercial teams to support project delivery
The Person
To be considered for the role of Cost Engineer, you will need:
Experience in a cost engineering role within a complex engineering or infrastructure project
Proficiency with cost management tools and techniques (e.g., Prism, EcoSys, Excel)
Excellent understanding of cost control principles and earned value management
Background in the nuclear or highly regulated sector is highly advantageous
Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
